KiKi Ebsen's Tribute to Her Father, Buddy Ebsen

KIKI EBSEN'S live musical tribute to her father, actor BUDDY EBSEN, was a revelation. We all remember BUDDY EBSEN as "Jed Clampett" in THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES, or as TV detective BARNABY JONES, or, for those of us a little older, as GEORGE RUSSEL, the sidekick to Walt Disney's DAVY CROCKETT. But did you remember him as AUDREY HEPBURN'S heartbroken husband in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S? Or as SHIRLEY TEMPLE's choreographer and tap dance partner? Or as the song-and-dance hoofer upon whom Disney based his prototype audio-animatronic figure? Or as the original choice to play the TIN WOODSMAN in THE WIZARD OF OZ (he can still be heard in the soundtrack)? Or as one half of a brother and sister vaudeville dance duo dubbed "The Baby Astaires"? Kiki walks us through his entire career, the career she never knew he had until after he had passed, and it's a brilliant musical stage show. She has an astonishing voice, and in one segment she even does a rousing tap dance. I got a genuine chill when she pulled out the actual coonskin cap and buckskin jacket he wore in the "Davy Crockett" series. To me, these are like religious relics 😁. Kudos to the talented KIKI EBSEN for one great show and a sterling tribute to her immensely talented dad!
