Dodsworth at Motion Picture Academy

I caught a great panel tonight at the Motion Picture Academy Theater. They screened a newly-restored print of the Academy Award winning classic film, DODSWORTH (1936), but they opened with a panel featuring special guests DIANE BAKER, CAROLE COOK, ANGELA LANSBURY, EVA MARIE SAINT AND ROBERT WAGNER. All were friends of the late TCM host ROBERT OSBORNE for whom they were paying tribute. Even BEN MANKIEWICZ, who took over hosting duties at TCM, spoke eloquently of his predecessor. And I spotted LEONARD MALTIN in the audience sitting not far behind me (I was in the first row). It's star-studded tributes like this that make living in LA so much fun if you're a classic film buff!
